Require  following system condition:

  • Intel ® Pentium ® 4 2.80 Ghz processor (Hyper-Threading technology) or equivalent processor
  • 3 GB RAM
  • 40 GB available hard disk space
  • Ethernet connection

the reference configuration is recommended:

  • Intel Pentium D processor 915 (dual core) or equivalent processor
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 40 GB available hard disk space and disk speed of 7200 RPM or faster
  • SATA storage interface or better
  • Ethernet connection

Installation Steps

Follow the steps described in this section to install and set up a virtual version of Google Search Appliance.

Verification of system requirements

Make sure that your system meets the conditions for  running under the requirements.

Download, install and configure VMware software

  1. If you have not installed VMware Player 1.0 (or later) or VMware Server 1.0 (or later), immediately install: http://www.vmware.com/products/player/ or http://www.vmware .com / products / server /
  2. To ensure the integrity of the downloaded file is available, distributed in the Google web site will download the MD5 key with the value of your control, to ensure it is correct. You can MD5 checker (md5sum) free software for comparison.
  3. If you have installed VMware Server, VMware Setup dialog box will pop up asking the network parameters. For the “NAT” and “host to host” network, click Yes.

Download and extract the virtual version of Google Search Appliance

  1. Download the Google Search Appliance virtual version and save it to your hard disk.
  2. Unzip the downloaded file to the local system directory. Do not download the file on a shared network system. If you are using the operating system is Windows or Linux, please use the 7ziputility. Please note that this file is about the size of uncompressed 40 GB.
  3. Please check whether the extraction process creates a named vgsa.{日期} directory.{Date} date of this release.

Start VMware software and run a virtual version of Google Search Appliance

  1. Start VMware Player or Server.
  2. VMware Player screen in the “Command” section, click open and find vgsa.vmx pictures.
  3. Run vgsa.vmx to start the Google Search Appliance.
  4. Wait 5-10 minutes, until the network configuration dialog box prompts “Enabled” status so far.
  5. You can also see in this dialog box version of the Google Search Appliance virtual IP address. Write down this IP address.

Visit the virtual version of Google Search Appliance

Now, you can access through a browser a virtual version of the Google Search Appliance.

  • To access the management interface, enter this URL: http:// <IP address>: 8000. About how to use specific management console page, please click on the top right corner of any page, “Help Center” link.
  • To access the user search page, enter the URL: http:// <IP address>: 80

    The largest problem with me is getting visitors. It is really hard to recieve traffic to my websites because there is so much competition out there for the same keyword. Getting to the top page on Google for a keyword is strenuous. I run multiple websites, They are all indexed in Google, however neither are not ranked very well, like on page 12 or something. I only want to do Search Engine Optimization because I don’t have that much investment to be risking adwords and ppc and companies like that.
